Ever felt like you were being watched? Had the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end while heading downstairs to that creepy old basement? Join us as we lead you by lantern light through the darkened streets of the historic East Side, sharing with you stories that will be sure to send a chill down your spine.

If you’re looking for unique things to do in Providence you’ve come to the right place. The tour is a walking tour and is an excellent little jaunt but come prepared and make sure you bring proper walking attire. Also we HIGHLY recommend that you bring a camera, digital is preferable. We have a few stops that have really been acting up as of late and it really adds a completely different element to the tour!

This historic neighborhood got its start in the 1630s and today is one of the cultural centers of the state. Home of Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design, the area was one of the first to be settled in Rhode Island back in the days of Roger Williams. The original homelots of the settlers lined what is today known as South and North Main. Although time has changed the area, many of the houses here date back before the Revolution.

    "The most perfect combination of history and hauntings in a spectacular setting led by unsurpassed story tellers. I loved Providence so much by the end of this tour, I brought my mother back for a girls weekend away. Even more amazing, I had a paranormal experience while on the tour and my Mom did when we returned."

    "My family and I took a tour through historic, downtown Providence with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide, Elise. She walked us through history with the perfect amount of theatrical interpretation and the perfect amount of spook. Although I personally did not encounter anything ghostly, the EMF reader that was provided on our tour read some paranormal activity. It was a chilly October night perfect for a ghost story and I am happy, without a doubt, that we chose providence ghost tour for the experience."

    "My wife and I chose the Providence Ghost Tour as our first experience with a ghost tour, and we were NOT disappointed. As life long Rhode Islanders, we took our 7-year old son with us to hear about the spookier side of Providence. Our guide Elise was amazing as she told the stories with such incredible enthusiasm, and even acted out a few. For those of you who aren't familiar with the East Side of Providence, the tour route is quite hilly so I'd suggest wearing comfortable shoes and bring a walking stick, if so inclined. If all ghost tours are this captivating then there's no doubt that ghost touring will become our Halloween tradition. Thank you so much for the great first tour, PGT!"

    "The Providence Ghost Tour is a perfect blend of history, horror, and theatrics. Follow your guide as he or she takes you by lantern light into the historic neighborhoods of Providence’s East Side, tracing the footsteps of Edgar Allan Poe, Sarah Helen Whitman, and H.P. Lovecraft, while listening to stories of the supernatural events that have occurred there. Whether you are a believer in the paranormal or a skeptic, you will no doubt be impressed by what this tour has to offer."

    "Excellent tour! The guides really put their heart and soul into combining the historical aspects of the tour with a theatrical performance. I enjoyed finding out about many dark historical events that occurred within a few city blocks. I've been on this tour a few times and it's been different each time, each with a different guide as well. I highly recommend this tour to anyone new to town, or lived here their entire life. Bring a good pair of sneakers though...college hill is tough"
